Villa Mar Azul: Three Bedrooms for Six Guests

Villa Mar Azul sleeps six and has a private infinity pool, terrace and sea views in the Aigua Gelida area. Its three bedrooms include two doubles and a bunk-bed room, making it an option to consider for a family wanting private outdoor space and a smaller villa layout.

Villa Tranquila: Four Bedrooms for Eight Guests

Villa Tranquila sleeps eight and combines a private pool, mature garden and bright open-plan living space. One double suite is at garden level, with three further bedrooms upstairs sharing a second bathroom.

Villa Megin: Four Bedrooms and Three Bathrooms

Villa Megin sleeps eight and offers a private pool, covered outdoor dining space and an elevated setting. Its bedroom layout includes a ground-floor double with an en-suite shower room, with a further double and two twin rooms upstairs.

Villa Salvador: A Larger House for Twelve Guests

Villa Salvador sleeps twelve and offers five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a private pool and generous outdoor living areas. Its split-level layout includes a mixture of double and single sleeping arrangements, giving larger families and groups more choice over how they use the house.

Tamariu Apartments Beside the Beach

A villa is not the only option in Tamariu. Apartment Filosia 1 and Apartment Filosia 2 are duplex apartments on Tamariu's promenade with sea views.

Both have two bedrooms with additional sleeping space in the living areas, making them an alternative for couples and families who want to stay close to the bay and village rather than choose a larger private-pool villa.

For a larger party, Villa Natalia accommodates up to sixteen guests across six bedrooms. The house and terraces are arranged over several levels, giving larger groups plenty of space during the stay.

Staying Near the Village or on the Hillside

Tamariu is a small coastal village within the municipality of Palafrugell on the Costa Brava. The beach and promenade form the centre of the village, while residential streets and villas extend into the surrounding hills and Aigua Gelida area.

A central apartment can put the waterfront, restaurants and village atmosphere close at hand, while a hillside villa can offer more outdoor space, a private pool, gardens or sea views. The individual property pages show the location and facilities of each accommodation option.

Tamariu Beach, the Village and Nearby Coves

Platja de Tamariu is the village's main beach, with coarse sand and a promenade lined with places to eat and drink. Palafrugell's tourist information describes the beach as approximately 160 metres long and 40 metres wide.

Nearby coves such as Aigua Xelida and Cala Pedrosa provide more coastal scenery for visitors who want to explore beyond the main bay. The surrounding Costa Brava coastline also offers walking routes through woodland, rocky sections and residential areas.

Tamariu's compact centre makes the beach and promenade a natural focus of the holiday, while the surrounding area gives you plenty of options for days out and coastal walks.

Days Out, Local Food and Time at the Villa

A Tamariu holiday can be as relaxed as you want it to be: mornings by the sea, lunch back at the villa and evenings in the village are all easy to build into the week.

For a change of scene, Palafrugell offers shops, markets and local services, while nearby Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell provide more coastal restaurants, beaches and waterfront walks. The gardens at Cap Roig are another popular option in the area.

Self-catering also gives you the freedom to enjoy meals at the property, with many villas offering well-equipped kitchens, terraces, barbecue areas and outdoor dining space.

Getting to Tamariu

Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is the nearest main airport for Tamariu, with Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) providing another option for visitors travelling to this part of the Costa Brava.

Hire cars and pre-booked transfers are common options for the onward journey. A car is also useful if you plan to explore Palafrugell, Begur, Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugell or more of the surrounding coast during your stay.

When to Plan Your Tamariu Holiday

July and August are the main summer months and are especially popular with families travelling during the school holidays. May, June and September are also good options if your dates are more flexible.
