This villa in Tamariu offers a very desirable combination of features often sought after yet seldom found: a smart and inviting Mediterranean residence ensconced in handsome mature gardens, yet tantalisingly close to the picture postcard fishing hamlet of Tamariu (420m) with its smattering of seafront restaurants and charming sandy beach.
Beautifully furnished and skilfully dressed with contemporary works of art, it is impossible not to be seduced by the atmosphere and location of this elegant home.
The property spreads harmoniously over two floors offering one single and three double bedrooms (two with en-suite bathrooms). Each of the double bedrooms opens onto a south-facing sun terrace from where tiny sparkles of cobalt blue ocean filter through lush pine trees, a subtle hint to us that after just a 10 minute walk down rustic steps we can be swimming in its refreshing waters.
Evenings spent grilling on the barbecue serenaded by a symphony of cicadas, scenic strolls down to the sea for an early morning swim, fun with the children on a sandy beach as the sun goes down at the end of the day. This is the very essence of a summer break and at this villa all becomes reality.
Drag yourselves away if you can, even if just for a day, because this coastline offers so much to see and visit!
Wonderful Begur with its hilltop castle, Palafrugell with its lively Sunday market, hidden coves, whitewashed fishing villages, medieval towns and Roman/Greek ruins are all within easy reach.
Please note: We kindly advise that smoking is not permitted inside the house.
Useful information
- Rentals are weekly with a Friday changeover
- Check-in time is 4.00pm
- Check-out time is 10.00am
- There is a tourism tax of 2 euros per person per night (maximum charge of 7 nights). This has to be paid by any guests aged 16 years or older and is not included in the rental price.
- There is a charge of 10 euros per person for the property damage waiver, this is not included in the rental price
- Sheets and towels are included. Pool towels are also provided.
- Final cleaning is included
- WiFi is included in the price
- Cots available on request - 40 euros per item per week, payable prior to arrival.
- High chairs available on request - 20 euros per item per week, payable prior to arrival.
- Pets are not allowed

We have spent a wonderful week here. The villa is amazing and had everything we need. We loved relaxing on the outdoor sofa and the pool was great! Es Dofi on the seafront is our favorite restaurant. La Fosca is a fantastic beach with nice places to eat. Head towards the old Fort, and there is a little bay, which is good for snorkeling. The Dali museum in Figures is good, but make sure you pre-book. The Botanical Gardens are worth a visit too.

A great week in a lovely villa. Lots of fun around the pool and time spent down at the quay fishing and kids playing at the beach in Tamariu. Love the area, definitely will be back to explore further.

Family of six – adult children. One week of relaxing, hiking, sightseeing, swimming and fun. And absolutely fabulous villa, all you could want. The size of the pool perfect, the bedrooms comfortable and a good size. Bathroom perfect water pressure for great shower.

Just finishing a week in this lovely area with entire family – wonderful chance for the generations to get together. My 8 and 11 year old grandsons really enjoyed the pool. Casa Amanda is great – very well equipped and enough space for us to be together without being on top of each other.

We have enjoyed a relaxing week in your villa, more time enjoying the pools/garden than on the beaches. Lovely local restaurants in Tamariu. Recommend Portlligat and Cadaques if you like Dali. Also, the museum in Figueres was great. Calella de Palafrugell lovely beach, and great cocktails overlooking the sea. Enjoy!

A fabulous villa in really lovely, homely resort. We have had a really relaxing two weeks, enjoying fabulous weather, food and the environment. We’ve had some lovely days out at Begur, Pals, Aguadiver waterpark and hiring kayaks at Tamariu Beach. Begur and and Pals were pretty – great for little wander. The water park in Platja d’Aro was lovely. We’ve eaten some great traditional fish dishes, as well as pizzas, barbecues, etc. – all have been very good. We hope you have as good a time as we did. Enjoy.
